Early Finishers in Art - Drawing Prompts

My middle school students always finish their art lessons at different times so I developed a set of task cards for them to use when they finish early. Students can flip through the cards and choose the drawing activity that inspires them! Check this idea out at my blog: http://onebrightcrayon.blogspot.com/search/label/Art%20Lessons

I'm finished! What do I do now? Ever heard that question? It's just going to happen! A lot! Early finishers are an issue in all art classes. So, you have to have something in place so the students automatically know what to do. And you need more than one activity ready because, most of the time, it will be the same students finishing early over and over.

Set up an area:

Choose a particular area of the room (and use this space all year) so the students know where to go each time they finish early. Make a sign directing the students to this spot. I know, they will ask anyway, but at least make the sign so that when you point they will see it! Maybe...

Drawing Prompts:

I developed a Drawing Prompt set with over 200 unique drawing prompts. You have to have something unique to get them to focus or they won't do anything but waste paper and time! These prompts range from something silly and fun to something a little more thoughtful and engaging!

The prompts are ready to print, laminate and cut! Punch the holes, put on the rings, and you have lots of creative ideas to keep your students on task and engaged! There are 13 different sets with 16 drawing prompts in each set.
